The trio’s sound has a distinctly Mediterranean flavor, with a particular focus on the East, in an original jazz-rock style that is at times psychedelic. A fluid and iridescent sound that is shaped around ancestral and evocative melodies, transporting us to a timeless space.

Fabula Rara is a seductive dialogue between Music and Movement. Dreamlike landscapes and harsh reality, archaic hints and experimentation are the elements that give life to this contemporary fairy tale. The performance, structured in imaginary rooms, is a kaleidoscope of moods, emotional flows, and suggestions, investigating the multiple metamorphoses of human beings through dense symbolism. Improvisations, choreography, and musical composition intertwine to create an engaging narrative journey.

A concert entirely dedicated to water: the depths, the flow of rivers, storms, boats, and droughts are just some of the stages of this musical journey consisting of sea shanties, traditional songs, and original compositions. The jazz and blues influences, the in-depth research into acoustic sound, the improvisation, and the careful arrangements make this trio unique and are the common thread that accompanies the listener through a highly varied and engaging repertoire.

An immersion into the world of the great Nino Rota has brought to light some ‘chanson’ versions of his vast repertoire for films.
And we need Cabiria, love and anarchy, la dolce vita, angry and passionate songs so much that we have disturbed the immortal notes of the Maestro to take a step back in time, leading us to his misty places and his lunar, sentimental and unforgettable characters.

The project stems from the idea of putting together an atypical jazz quintet with instruments considered “minor” in jazz and closer to street bands and blues, such as the acoustic guitar, harmonica, and violin. An authentic acoustic band, incisive, danceable, elegant, and capable of offering an intense and entertaining show.
