Drummer, Improviser
Alberto Pederneschi is a drummer and percussionist who has been active for decades on the Milan and national music scenes, spanning genres ranging from jazz to avant-garde to world music.
Alongside his group projects, he pursues a rigorous exploration of solo performance using a prepared drum kit, which serves as a vehicle for storytelling. Musicality and the handling of silence are the key elements of this sonic inquiry. The performance thus transforms into a timeless ritual, capable of establishing an emotional, hypnotic connection with the listener.
In 2021, this artistic journey found its formal expression in Microcosmo, his first solo album released by the British label FMR Records.
